I am a public scholar specializing in engaged art history. I use art, its history, and its institutions to strengthen communities, expand democratic discourse, and build a more equitable world.
Since 2012, I have been an art history and museum studies professor at Indiana University Indianapolis (IUPUI), where I am also appointed Public Scholar of Curatorial Practices and Visual Art.
